Tiny Furniture
This film is provocative and groundbreaking.
The director, writer and lead actor disappears into her fresh introspective: one of modern women, family, post-education, identity and where we want to be.
Exquisite cinematography, satisfying dialogue, surprising acting and a brand new genre. See it on the big screen if you can.

Meet Joe Black
I can't describe it exactly.
Brad Pitt calls it a symphony.
I agree.
And...
I love it.

Songcatcher
I don't remember a movie that reminded me of more.
It's fun to hear where old ballads participated in blues music. (And I love that it's portrayed by David Patrick Kelly -- "Warriors ...??!!"
Songcatcher is a great music/cinema connoisseur's movie.
Looking forward,

The Killer Inside Me
A look at the descencion of man. This film is so hypnotic.
Casey Afflec is incredible.
Great supporting cast.
Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba are good and gutsy.
Long live Bill Pullman!
Afflec lures us into forgetting all but his character.
The whole film comes together so tightly we don't realize we're in it until it's over.
Then we're left with having been taken for a pretty dark and provocative ride.
It is a difficult but excellent film.

A Rumor of Angels
Such a satisfying, heart wrenching, honest and whimsical look at anxiety and abandonment.
Familiar. Immediate. Excruciating.

Italia!
Some feel peckish. I usually get a movie-buffet type craving. Here is my choice of a gluttonous dose of Italian cinema and incidental countryside.
~ Ciao
- Cinema Paradiso
- Respiro
- The Best of Youth
- Under the Tuscan Sun
- Much Ado About Nothing
- Pranzo di ferragosto

Animal Kingdom
Always a sucker for a good Aussie flic. This one was a tense, rich ride that made me sure that I dearly love Australian films.
